Virtual Creator Class FAQs

----------------------------

What is a virtual class? – Our Virtual Creator Classes are just like our in-person classes, only you attend on your phone, tablet or computer via Google Meet.

Do I need wifi to do this? – You probably do. Some people will have a robust data plan and that will be fine. But for most of us, wifi will be essential to a good connection, free of lag and drop outs.

Where do I go to attend this class? – Nowhere. Or…anywhere! :) The beauty of a virtual class is you can attend it remotely from anywhere you have a good wifi connection.

How do I get my materials for the class? – We ship you everything you need.

Do you also ship me the tools I need for the class? – Yes we do.

Do I have to return the tools or paint? – Nope. They’re yours to keep for future projects.

How will you know what colors I will need? – You’ll select the colors you want for the project you select when you register. We’ll only send you the colors you select at that time.

What if I change my mind on colors? – That’s something we won’t be able to help you with. But you can substitute your own colors if possible…although we don’t recommend it. And if you do, we can’t guarantee the final results or spend extra class time to help you make those changes.

How long is a class? – One hour.

What if the class goes longer? – It can’t. Google Meet has a limit of one hour per session.

What if I’m not finished by the end of the class? – That’s possible, but not likely. We will structure our teaching to lead you through the project in plenty of time. But if you happen to not finish, we’ll still be available to answer your questions via text for another half hour.

How do I pay? – You’ll pay online, which will be via PayPal, when you register on the Apple Valley Farm website.

What if I don’t use PayPal? – Email us at info@applevalleyfarmga.com and we’ll see what other online payment platforms we can use. We also use Venmo and CashApp.

What if I don’t like using online payments? – That would be a problem. For our Virtual Classes, online payment is the only method we have available.

I’m not an artist. Can I really do this? – Of course you can. Our process is fun and easy and will ensure your ability to create a beautiful finished piece. Trust us! You will love it!

How do I sign up for a class? – Online registering is our preferred method. Each class will have its own registration and payment link, so keep an eye out for links on Facebook, IG or TikTok, when a class you want to attend is announced.

Can I attend with a friend? – You bet. The class price is on a per/project basis though, but feel free to bring a friend. Or two!

Can I record the class so I can watch it later? – We certainly love for our students to record short videos share them on social media or with friends. But we’d prefer to keep our complete sessions and classes for paying students only. So we’d appreciate it if you didn’t record the entire class. But we’ll be happy to give you all the help you need along the way, as well as make ourselves available to chat or answer questions, any time after any classes. And…we’ll be posting videos ourselves, on our YouTube channel. So you can always watch them there.

Do you offer Kid’s Classes? – Yes! We don’t host them as often as adult classes, but we love Kids’ Classes and would love to talk with you about how we can plan something with you in mind. Give us a yell!

Can I host a Virtual Creator Class at my home or church? - Absolutely! Actually, you can host a class anywhere you want, as long as there's enough room and you have a strong wifi connection. Classes are a great way for you to start the ball rolling on a gathering, without waiting on us to plan one. Prices are affordable, and if you have more than 10 people attend, you attend for free! CLICK HERE to send us your info. Someone will be in touch with you right away with all the details.

What if I need to reschedule? – Usually, that’s no problem. Things happen. But we can’t refund your registration fee. But definitely reach out to us as soon as you foresee a scheduling issue and we’ll work you into another class.

What if I have weather or a connectivity problem on my end? – While we can’t refund your class cost or be responsible for connectivity issues on your end of things, if this happens to you, please contact us so we can discuss a solution that works for you.

What if there are connectivity issues on your end? – Should connectivity issues occur on our side, we will contact you as soon as possible and reschedule you for a future class that fits your schedule.

Can I use my own materials? – We like it when you use ours, because we can control the quality of all the pieces. So for that reason, we’d prefer to just let you use ours. Hey…make it easy on yourself and let us do the work!

Can I make my own design? – For this scope of class time, no. We won’t have a way to accommodate custom designs. However, we will be happy to work with you to create your own designs, at another time, if you want.

Will my creation be for indoor or outdoor use? – All of our projects will be intended for indoor use, or at best, covered outdoor use, such as on a covered porch or carport area. Your finished project can receive a coat of clear protective spray that will help its durability and protect it from bumps and scratches, but that coating does not make it an outdoor or “weatherproof” thing.

Do you offer discounts to civic groups? – As a matter of fact, we do. For Church or Civic Groups who want to register 10 or more attendees, we do offer a discount off the regular class price.

Can we host a Virtual Crafting Class as a fundraiser? – Yes! What a great idea! Virtual Creator Classes are fun and informative and a great way to gather a crowd for a great cause. Ask us about this at either info@applevalleyfarmga.com or 706-372-0406. Each fundraiser will be different, so let us put a package together that will ensure you raise enough to meet your goals.

How often do you hold these classes? – We try to host at least four virtual classes a month.

Can I make a suggestion for a project I’d like to see you offer a class on? – We love suggestions. So yes! Please let us know about your ideas. Pictures are a great way to communicate your suggestions, so share those with us if you have them. Send your suggestions to either info@applevalleyfarmga.com or 706-372-0406
